Brief
I worked with the Sunny AI team to design a next-generation AI Project Management platform. The client’s vision was to create a "supercharged" workspace that bridges the gap between traditional tools like Jira and ClickUp by fully integrating AI into the core workflow. My role was to define the end-to-end user experience, from automated task generation to predictive project tracking, ensuring that the power of AI felt intuitive rather than overwhelming for high-performance teams.
Problem
Traditional project management tools like Jira and ClickUp are powerful but often become admin-heavy "graveyards" where teams spend more time updating tasks than doing actual work. Users face several core pain points:
Manual Overhead
High cognitive load required to break down complex projects into granular tasks.
Information Overload
Difficulty in finding relevant updates or identifying project risks within hundreds of tickets.
Static Planning
Deadlines and workflows don't automatically adjust to real-time team velocity or blockers.

Switching between chat apps, documentation, and trackers leads to fragmented data.

Implemented features that automatically generate task descriptions, sub-tasks, and checklists based on a single project prompt.
Intelligent Syncing
Designed a seamless integration layer for Jira and ClickUp, allowing teams to "power up" their existing data with Sunny’s AI predictive engine.
Predictive Scheduling
Developed a dynamic UI that identifies potential bottlenecks and automatically suggests timeline adjustments before they become critical.
Unified AI Interface
Created a clean, "Sunny" visual identity that hides technical complexity behind a conversational and minimal interface, focusing on "doing" rather than "managing."
Lessons Learned
As a Product Designer for Sunny AI, I helped build a next-generation platform designed to solve the "manual overhead" and admin-heavy nature of traditional tools like Jira and ClickUp. By fully integrating AI into the core workflow, I designed a workspace that automatically generates tasks, syncs data intelligently, and predicts project risks before they happen. This project taught me that for AI to be truly effective, it must act as a seamless partner in the daily work routine rather than just a side feature, requiring a clean visual identity and transparent reasoning to build user trust.
